canopied mahogany four-poster queen bed is the centerpiece of the Frazier Rose. An antique mantel graces the romantic fireplace of this large room, and a plush Aubuson style rug invites you to kick off your shoes.

This room is named in honor of Charles Frazier, who with his wife Catherine rented the second floor of this house while they were in graduate school. Charles used the triple-hung window in this room as an important element in the opening chapter of his first novel, Cold Mountain, winner of the 1998 National Book Award and subsequently made into an Academy award-winning movie.
